ive got a mark 2 console that doesnt work. when i attach the usb during installation all the leds stay on and the install goes nowhere. any suggestions? thanks.
can you give us more details about how you got to that point ?
are you using the latest driver from the support site or one that came on your installation cd ?

okay ive downloaded the latest drivers and tried to install. ive come to the part where it says "please connect all of the hercules dj products you want to install". ive done that and all the lights of the console are on and the installation goes no further. what do i do now?
first, make sure to connect directly to the computers usb port. do not use a hub for the installation.
lets try this:
- when you get asked to connect the usb cable, do it while pushing the talk over button ( you should hear a click), and hold it for about 30 sec.
- if windows detects and install one device, its a good sign.
- now, if the progress bar looks to just hang there and do nothing after a while, disconnect and reconnect the console.
technically, if the first part did its job, the firmware should have been reinitialized, and all the other elements of the console should be detected and installed.
if however this is not the case and youre still not going any futher on the installation, i would recommand contacting technical support, who will see if something else can be don, or if you should get a replacement.

Still no luck unfortunately. I'll try technical support. Hopefully there's something that can be done as I picked this up in the States and I'm in New Zealand so if it doesn't work I'm screwed. Thanks anyway.
Same problem here...its a firmware problem. You need to install new firmware but i havent figured out on how to do it.
The helpdesk of hercules also doesnt know what to do.

If you have an Mk2 or an Rmx, Hercules helpdesk can really help you to reflash the firmware. If you have reached a helpdesk who didn't know what to do in case of firmware issue on an Mk2 or an Rmx, make sure it was really Hercules helpdesk.
No, i have a Mk1, unfortunately.. the helpdeks doesnt now if they can fix the firmware, wich was messed up by the firmware updater in teh nwe driver package..
