hey dudes just got the hercules rmx and im using virtual djc 5. i used it last night at a gig and was doing some mixing. i turned down the bass on deck b it did fade out but it also slowed the track playing on deck a so i played about with it some more and it turns out that the bass knob on deck b is controlling the pitch on deck a but when i tried to use the pitch slider on deck a nothing happend. its like the bass has 2 mapping commands asigned to it and the pitch slider has none.

could this be the case? or does any1 have any other ideas of what it could be? i have also tried downloading all the latest drivers and firmware so im up to date with all that.

any info on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

many thanks, ben

Well, let's try to isolate where the problem might be.

First , use the procedure described in the following document to test your console as a MIDI controller:

http://ts.hercules.com/faqs/eng/her_eng_00353.pdf

The point is to see if indeed the BASS knob sends the correct data (CC 64 normally) and if the pitch (CC 49) is defective or not.

If everything seems to work normally there, then something is wrong in Virtual DJ. Be sure that you are using the latest version (5.2.1) , and if you've added/made changes yourself to the MIDI mapping, you may want to look it over.
