any good free software that i can pre record on.i want to have avoice and music...i cant reach the price of the likes of sam yet.
thanks
Hello,
To pre-record, it is possible to record inside many DJ software.
Please precise
- your DJ software (name and version),
- the DJ control surface you use,
- your operating system,
- your computer configuration.
In MY SPACE > MY PROFILE, there are 3 areas you should fill
- Hercules equipment you use
- Software you use
- Describe your Equipment.
If you cannot record inside your DJ software, I suggest you wire a cable from your DJ controller output to the 1/8" jack line input of your computer, and you record this line input in a standard audio recording software. If you are in Windows, a free software as Wavosaur is OK for recording.
Well I am only at the begining to be honest.I have just got a Hercules MK2 controller.I dont have any software yet.I am using an Acer Aspire 5749 Laptop.750 GB HD..4GB of memory, with Intel core i3 2330...Thanks Jim.
Hello,
You should precise
- which DJ software you have, as a software was included in DJConsole Mk2 (either VirtualDJ 3 DJC, or Traktor 2 LE)
- your operating system (Windows XP, BadVista, 7, or Bad8, 32-bit or 64-bit).
If your software doesn't record, adding a cable going from the line output of the Mk2 (the Mk2 has 2 line outputs formats: RCA and 1/8" jack, so once you have connected your speakers to 1 output 1-2, you still have another plug format available for another cable) to a line input on your laptop is not sure to operate as I don't know if your Acer Aspire has a line input (many laptops have a microphone input plug which is also a line input, but Acer Aspire 5749 is a cheap laptop, so maybe the microphone input is only a microphone input, with no line in cabled), so you may also use mix with the free software Mixxx and record your mix in Mixxx. Mixxx has presets for DJConsole Mk2.

Itried to connect the hercules mk2 ,but it couldnt update the griver need for the controller. Is it possible to use this controller with windows 7? An answer to a question above....I have virtual dj 3dj console, verion 2.0.
Hello,
1) Yes, DJ Console Mk2 is compatible with Windows 7.
You can download the drivers on this page, the last driver package is 2013_HDJS_2.
2) I don't remember well VirtualDJ 3 DJC Edition, but you should look for your VirtualDJ serial number (sticked on the CD enveloppe as here)
Go on VirtualDJ website, and if you are not registered on VirtualDJ, register on this website, and type your serial number in your profile > Serial Number field, and then go to the download area to download the last version of VirtualDJ 3 DJC Edition.
Thanks for that helpful post..I managed to update the drivers for the console....The VDJ disc was second hand, and came with the controller...I put in the serial number,it said it was already registered.I mailed them, and they told me I could upgrade for 206 euro.It will be something free for me so...
