i hope that some one can sort my dilema out:
hardware: 2 x cdj900nxs - hercules rmx2 - 15" & 17"mac book pro & vdj8 software.

firmware: pioneer cdj 900nexus = version 1.20, hercules rmx2 + 1.22-19 & 15" & 17" mac = yesomite.

tests carried out to make sure the hardware are in working order:
the cdj when connected to a different mixer [pioneer djm500] they both sound just perfect, media sorce is audio cd.
if i use the rmx2 directly to the 15" & 17" mac book pro [no cdjs connectd] they work fine.

conclusion: all the hardware are working perfectly.

problem:
when i connect each cdjs into the input 1-2 & input 3-4 of the rmx2. the cdj that is connected to the input 3-4 & i press the "source" button on the rmx2 it works perfectly fine. but then i press the "source" button on the rmx2 for the input 1-2 i get a very distorted sound. it have tried the same thing on both the 15" & 17" mac book pro & i get the same problem [media sorce audio cd].
which seems to be something to do with the settings on the rmx2 controller.

ive tried to update the audio firmware"
- from applications > djherculesmix > djseries > updater, double-click on manual_update.
i have noticed that the djherculesmx series firmware updater is not recognising the rxm2 as it says hardware not present.

following are the firmware details on the djconsole rmx2
package: v5.18
firmware: v1.22-19
midi map: default
server: v12.26
dj api: v9.3
