i just got the dj control mp3 e2 and i connected it to my laptop which has windows 8.0 and it did nothing. is it compatible with this version of windows? if it is, how do i go about installing it?

It is not a Plug and Play device. You'll need to download and install the latest drivers available from the Technical Support website:
