hi all.. i guess this would fall under software, as i guess it wont be the hardware.. π
i have never noticed it live, only now on recording stuff.
in the background, certainly associated with the movement of the slider, volumes or eqs
its an old herc mk11 with and old version of vdj 4.3
π
its annoying now i have started to record stuff.
is it some settings somewhere to do with quality.. π
??
thanks all.
nile.
π
ever tried updating the driver (currently 2.hdjs.2010) for the console and vdj (v3.4.1) ?
not sure, but seems very close to the issue i -and many of the djc users- experienced with the mp3e2 and the associated vdj software...
as dj phatso said, try to update your driver, and maybe, update if possible your virtual dj software (see the vdj community site)
hmm..will check for a new driver..
have updated it in the past tbh, twice i think?
but not for a while.
as for the vdj 4.3?
i stuck with it because of changes to the later ones i didnt like... π
am thinking that i have never heard this when djing.
it might be just lost in live sound, or maybe its because the mixes have been recorded using vdj itself internally, and maybe its something in that, i.e. the sound isnt leaving the hercules and out too a mixer, but i assume coming back in some way too the pc via usb?
will have a play... π
need to upgrade from the old mk11 anyhow, just a mixture of money, and trying to find the right controller. i thought the rmx was the one tbh, but it seems to be missing a few bits i want, i.e fx control etc.. am still investigating..
again thanks.. π
hello nileyboy,
virtualdj 4.3 djc is a mac version, so are you in mac os or in windows?
the first step is to detail your configuration
- computer : brand and model (for example dell dimension 5150) / type (desktop, tower, laptop, netbook) / ram (for example 2 gb)
- operating system: please detail completely, we cannot guess the version (for example mac os 10.5.5, or windows xp 32-bit service pack 3)
please precise your version of virtualdj: is it virtualdj 3.4 djc or virtualdj 4.3 djc or a version of virtualdj pro?
if you are in windows with virtualdj 3.4 djc, you should go to config > sound setup, set the audio in mixed mode, activate the mode "enable eq on external inputs", and let us know if you still hear these noises.
