page 9 of the document explains how to use the effects. here is a little more details:

- each deck is associate to an fx unit (ex: deck a = fx unit 1) , which can be turned on by pressing the square button on the console.

- each fx unit contain 3 fx that can be controlled via the console.

  • button 2/4/8 turn each fx on and off
  • if you keep these button pressed, they act as a shift, and you can then use button 1/3/5 to scroll through the effects for each deck (you could also use your mouse to select the effects manually).
  • once youve selected the effects, use the ctrl knob to level of the effect
  • if no buttons are pressed, ctrl will be used to set the dry/wet amount of the fx unit.

lit up= off?

the light was not on, while i tried to use the fx, but tried it on differnece ways. even the "knub" to gigher and lower the effect(wet/try) did not work.

what does this wet/try even mean?

so, on deck a, if you use the ctrl, the dry/wet knob of fx unit 1 does not move ?

dry/wet refers to the level control for each fx unit (you may want to read the traktor user manual for an indetail description of all the fonctions of the software)

do the button 1/3/5 work for loop ?

I just installed Traktor- Pro 1.2.7 and mapped it for the DJ console 4-mx in my MAC. Everything seems to be working fine, but when i plug in my headphones ther's no audio just a continuous popping noise. Is there a solution for this or did i miss a step?

Thanks...

The PDF document included with the Hercules mapping (available on the support site) explains the basic audio configuration to be used withh the 4-Mx:

http://ts.hercules.com/download/sound/TDJS/current/TP_DJ_4-Mx.zip

Obviously, your headphone is connected to the 4-Mx, correct ?

I went through the entire process again and still i have the same issue of a popping noise through my headphones. So last night i played with the 4-MX software GUI tool and i changed the 3-4 channel (default) settings to 1-2, the noise stopped but is this setting correct and is the headphone functionality the same?

Thanks

try checking the inport and outport at the controller manager options that can be found at the settings of your traktor.also check the DJ console 4MX panel, see if you have the right Line/channel assignment whether it is Line 1-2 for input and 3-4 for output
