Hello,

Yes, taking it apart is pretty tricky, but that may be the best way to clean the controller if beer has come inside the casing.

If you don't take it apart, I suggest cleaning the buttons as outer casing with a cotton bud dipped in alcohol (70°): a delicate friction with the cotton bud can remove the beer residue, and the advantage of using alcohol is its evaporating into the air without adding wetness in the controller.

If you take the controller apart, I suggest cleaning the parts with water and a minor part of soap. What is important is to avoid that water goes inside the controller, so, after cleaning
- either you let the parts in the air the time the water evaporates in the atmosphere,
- or you use an air drier (preferably on the cold setting) to evacuate the watter,
and then, you re-assemble the controller.

Hello,

I had forgotten to precise:
1) Don't insist too long with alcohol on marks as you may remove the marks on the controller casing.
2) If you take the controller appart, the rubber keys have carbon contacts on the inner side, you can wash the carbon contacts, but avoid damaging them (A friend of mine took a remote control with a rubber keypad, he thought the carbon contacts were dots of dirt, so he removed them with a knife and the remote control was dead).
