dj control instinct issues

i just bought this controller and the software/controller are super unreliable. im using a mac with os x, and i have re-installed like 4 times. issues like headphone jacks sounding distorded, problems with djuced 18 closing mid set, and sometimes my itunes playlist will load and i can see the playlist but when i try to load it into the software i get a red banner accross the bottom of the interface telling me that the file cant be found. i also have to use a speaker to hear songs play (when they actually load) and sometimes i would rather have the songs play out of my computer speaker. did i get a defective controller or am i missing something?

1) If you meet any technical problem, please fill your profile in clicking on "My Space"> "My Profile"

- In "Hercules equipment in use", please check your Dj controller,

- In "Software in use", check your DJ software,

- In "Describe your equipment": describe your computer brand and model, CPU, quantity of RAM, version of Mac OS, version of DJConsole Series driver package, version of DJ software.

2) The forum needs technical information as:
- what is your Mac (model, year), what is your Mac OS X,
- what are the DJConsole series drivers you have installed on your Mac, did you install the last version, 5.69 here?
- what is the Djuced 18 version you have installed, is it the last version 1.00.101, which is availble here?
