hi all!

im new to the forum and im sorry to start with my first message as a complaining one...i bought one console dj control instinct and i tried to install it precisely in the way described in the instructions provided in the forum by phatso - run as admin, etc. all by the book. yet again and again the drivers wont install - the bulk and the asio seem ok, but the console has a yellow exclamation sign on it - also the console center looks ok, but i cannot make any modifications to the volume because it seems inactive. i am running ms windows 7 ultimate 32-bit sp1 edition, updated by the day - i have had absolutely no problems with this operation system. what is wrong?

Hello,

1) It seems the USB audio driver is lacking on your computer.
Have you installed another USB audio device (USB headphones, USB sound card...)?

2) I don't understand what you mean with "the bulk and the asio seem OK, but the console has a yellow exclamation sign on it".

If you mean, that you go in Windows > Control Panel > System > Device Manager,
and there you see
- no yellow mark on Hercules DJ Devices > Hercules DJControl Instinct ASIO
- no yellow mark on Hercules DJ Devices > Hercules DJControl Instinct Bulk
- a yellow mark on Audio, video, game controllers > Hercules DJControl Instinct

then on Audio, video, game controllers > Hercules DJControl Instinct, you should right click on Hercules DJControl Instinct, and select the option "update driver".

Hi, it's exactly like that, the asio and bulk don't have a yellow exclamation sign, but Hercules DJControl Instinct does have this sign. And I tried already numerous times to update the driver - but with no success. Any other suggestions?...

Hello djqdos,

It seems your USB audio driver files in Windows 7 (not installed by DJControl Instinct, but installed by Windows):
- usbaudio.sys, installed in C:\Windows\System32\drivers
- wdma_usb.inf, installled in C:\Windows\inf
- wdmaudio.inf, installed in C:\Windows\inf
is not working.

Have you installed a Logitech webcam with a microphone input?
If you did, can you try uninstalling the Logitech webcam software?
