you may first want first want to update the driver to the latest version (2010.hdjs.4), as well as updating vdj (v1.05, available by registering your serial number on vdjs web site).

if the problem occur again , you may want to test it outside of vdj using the following procedure:

hay,

yes, i tried your procedure but that midi monitor isnt showing me anything. im very sure that my djc mp3 e2 works because when i press the buttons sometimes he does what i expect that he does en sometimes not :s. its like he acts very late, lagging or something. for example when i press a button the led turns off 2 seconds after i pressed, sometimes not and sometimes immediately :s?

what do you mean by "midi monitor isnt showing me anything" ?

is the controller selectable as input and output ?

when moving controls, do they register data in the software ?

as for the controller itself, are you connected directly to the usb port or through a usb hub ?

have you tried different usb ports on the computer ?

yes, the controller is selectable as input and output, but when i move the jog wheels, or push a button no data is registered. my djc mp3 e2 is directly connected to a usb port of my computer and yes i tried different ports, but they all have the same result :(..

Looks like the MP3 e2 might not be correctly installed:

I checked everything at the Device Manager and everything that must be present is present! I tried it all over again, reinstalling and so further.. It lags, that's the problem for certain, cause all the features of the console itself work, but i don't understand the lag :s

If you go in the DJ Control panel, About tab, you should normally have the following information:

Firmware: 1.0.1.9

Driver: 5.2.10

DJ API: 2.0.22.6

CPL: 2.0.7.8

Is that correct?

Could you try the controller MIDI test on your Windows XP computer?

What are the technical information of your Windows 7 laptop ( processor model, memory, etc) ?

Yes, I checked the information and it's all the same as you said. My Windows 7 desktop has a AMD Phenom II Quadcore, 8 GB RAM, Motherboard of Gigabyte (790XTA-UD4) with integrated 7.1 HD Dolby Sound Card.

On my older computer the MIDI test doesn't run also, but there my DJC MP3 e2 console does fine.
