hi all. i just have a few problems and questions about djuced. first off, im new to this forum because i purchased dj control air. i freakin love this thing. its sleek, compact, smooth, and all around just fun to jam with. the problems i face is the program that came with it, djuced, and its lack of customizing.
i originally bought this product because i read that it is also compatible with virtual dj. come to find out it is only compatible with virtual dj pro? which i think is just ridiculous that it is only compatible with one version of vdj. like mentiond earlier, i have a problem with djuced and its lack of customizing. im also having a problem with its bpm analyzer. it will show, that a song that is clearly around 60-65 bpm, that it will be at 165 bpm. i mean....wtf? it has taken my entire library and, i feel, has changed it. it just feel different when i load up a song.
so here are my questions:
1. is there a way for djuced to analyze bpms correctly?
2. is there a way to change and add in more effects instead of just working with the default four? and not by sampling. (i.e. cuts, beat grinds, overloops, etc.)
3. is there a way to have dj control air work with virtual dj home version?
4. if not, then is there a program out there that works like vdj that is compaitble with dj air? (i have been working with mixxx but it seems.....meh.)
thanks all.
Hi,
Unfortunatly, The control air can only works with VDJ Pro.
For response to your questions :
1. Is there a way for DJUCED to analyze BPMs correctly?
=> yes. Don't forget that BPM detection, like in all DJ's software, are better with "recent" computer's based music.
Techno, EDM, Dubstep, Trance,Harcore, Hip Hop, R'n'B and formatted Rock/Pop music can be detected properly.
Don't forget that the tracks must have a constant BPM, and a Good resolution (and not acrappy 128kb song ripped from youtube for exemple).
You can adjust the BPM and the Beatgrid of a track by clicking on the BPM tab on DJUCED.
Like I'm Mixing Electronic, Mashups and Dubstep, my tracks are correctly detected at 95%.
2. Is there a way to change and add in more effects instead of just working with the default four? And not by Sampling. (i.e. Cuts, Beat Grinds, Overloops, etc.)
=>For the moment, you can't add more FX's. In the last DJUCED update you can change some FX by clicking on the arrow near the FX to open the FX List.
3. Is there a way to have DJ Control Air work with Virtual DJ Home Version?
No you can't.
4. If not, then is there a program out there that works like VDJ that is compaitble with DJ Air? (I have been working with Mixxx but it seems.....meh.)
- You can find a Traktor Pro 2 mapping file here. (this software is really not expensive nowadays...)
- I found a Mixxx mapping, but I've not tested it yet, here.
