i am using virtual dj 8 and an rmx 2.
i have managed to map functions to effects buttons 1-6 but both sets of buttons on each deck do the same thing (i.e. button 1 on left deck does same as button 1 on right deck).
is there a way to split the two banks of buttons so that they all operate independently?
in vdj 8 mapping the buttons are defined as buttons 1-6 but cant see any way of differentiating between left deck and right deck

Please confirm you use DJConsole Rmx2 since it has 4 pads control the effects but not 6 pads.
The controllers with 6 keys to control effects are DJ Console Rmx (1) and on DJ Console 4-Mx.

I do not think you need to change a mapping, you should simply use VirtualDJ old skin to assign each fonction on DJ Console Rmx buttons 1 to 6.
The Rmx skin is oldcompared to today's VirtualDJ interface, but you can
- use an old skin as RMX Style skin to assign the functions of VirtualDJ on DJ Console Rmx buttons 1 to 6,
- and afterwards, once you have assigned the wished functions, use today's VirtualDJ skin.
