Hello,
Welcome to the forum.
1) I do not understand "When we put in headphones to the controller and turn cue to the left its still plays both sides out of the headphones". I wonder what "turn cue to the left" means for you: do you meaan
- Set headphone rotary volume to minimum
- Turn Cue to Master rotary knob on Cue
- or do you mean you activate Deck 1 preview
- or something else?
2) Please confirm you have set Djuced > Settings > Audio as follows
- Audio Device DJControl Inpulse 500 ASIO (ASIO)
- Output Master Outputs 1&2
- Outputs Headphones Outputs 3&4
I suppose the speakers are connected to the master output of DJControl Inpulse 500.
3) Please check the crossfader switch on top of the crossfader:
- Left = slow curve= Mix
- Middle = fast curve = scratch
- Right = disabled
4) To provide the most useful tech information, please always try to write the version or model you use, for example:
Djuced version: 6.0.1
Hercules DJ drivers: 2023.HDJS.2
Windows 11: 64-bit release 22H2
Mackie speakers: CR3-X
Headphones: Sennheiser HD-25
Hello,
Please
- install Hercules DJ drivers: 2023.HDJS.2 to use Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500 ASIO driver
- use in Djing headphones connected to the DJ controller by a 1/4" ou 1/8" connector, not USB headphones.
If you use USB headphones, Windows changes the default audio playback device each time you the USB audio headphones, so you must not connect a USB audio device during a DJ performance as it changes instantly Windows audio settings.
Avoid WASAPI mode if you can in DJing since, once you install immersion peripherals as Oculus, they install surround audio software routines to improve the audio immersion in reverberating surround audio channels in the front audio channel and vice versa.
The problem of such routines for DJ listening separately the Master output and the headphones outputs is that the Windows surround routines reverbs the sound of channel 1-2 (Master output) in channel 3-4 (Headphones output) and vice versa so it becomes impossible to pre-listen with headphones.
The solution is then to use ASIO device : Windows surround audio is limited to WASAPI.
