hello my name is c-ruckuz i am new to this and i have a question regarding the hercules rmx when playin a song on either deck for a example deck a and i preview the upcomin song on deck b on my headphones i can still hear the song on deck a also playin thru the headphones the select cue is on the deck that i preview and the mixing knob is set to just hear the song the is preview someone please help with this issue thanks

Please precise whether you mean the Monitor button is set at 100% on Cue and not at all between Mix and Cue.
Does it occur with VirtualDJ DJC 5.2.1 or have you VirtualDJ DJC 5.0.7?

First of all thank you for taking the time to read my message on my issue.
The knob button is turn all the way to the left which is on the cue position but I still hear both decks playing thru my headphones.
It is kind of complicated cause
- when I put the volume (master or either deck that is playing thru the speakers) down is okay I dont hear it and only hear the one I preview
- but of course I need the volume up don't know what the problem is.
It occurs on both virtual dj I uninstall the pro and when with the limited edition that comes with it same thing.
I use the pro and same thing i contact hercules on this issue but they said to turn the knob to the cue position lol wich I knew that cause it was working fine when I purchased it 3 weeks ago then it just started to give me this issue everything else work fine.
any solution or suggestion maxdjack would be appreciated and thank you again

It looks like an audio setting of VirtualDJ Pro which has contaminated VirtualDJ DJC audio preset.
1) Can you check in VirtualDJ Pro configuration, in the sound setup, if you have not reversed the output channel settings?
2) Please precise which version of VirtualDJ DJC and VirtualDJ Pro you have: is it 5.0.7 or 5.2.1?
3) Are you on Mac or on PC? Which operating system do you use: XP, Mac OS 10.4, Mac OS 10.5 or Vista?

yea it could be the audio settings but not sure if it is and if it is how do i fix it or know if that is what it is?
my sound settings:
input -none
output-speakers/headphones
sound card-hercules console rmx
i have output 1&2 for speakers and 3&4 for headphones
i was running the virtual limited editon 5.0 which came w/ the rmx and i just updated to the new one last night 5.2.0 but same issue the pro is 5.2.7 and my operating system is vista

Have you checked in VirtualDJ Pro if you have the same issue whether you are
- in ASIO (when check the setting "Apply EQ on external inputs")
- in WDM (when you uncheck the checkbox "Apply EQ on external inputs" in sound setup, in VirtualDJ Pro) ?
yes i did maxdjack i tried that but same issue but when i connect my headphone on the back of the rmx and use just either channel 3 or 4 it works but it sound bad it seems that i am the only one with this issue

If you test with the output 3-4 on the rear panel, can you make sure you have not the preview on one channel and the mix on the other channel?

I already check if the Monitor button is on CUE function at 100% and it is !

Drivers Asio : ASIO 2.0 - ESI U46
Output voice : Master : voice 1&2 / Headphone : voice 3&4

1) I wonder if it depends of how fast you turn the Cue to mix rotary button.
If you turn slowly the Cue to mix rotary button on Cue, do you still get this issue?
2) To check if your Cue to mix rotary button is normally calibrated.
If you are in VirtualDJ Pro, can you do the following actions?
- Click on Config Button > Remote Control Tab > General MIDI > Activate.
- Click on Config Add
- Check in the MIDI top panel the values you get when you turn the Cue to Mix rotary button : the control change is CTRL 58, and the values should be:
- on Cue (full Left) position: value=0
- on Mix (full right) position: value =128
If you get these 2 values, then your Cue to Mix button is well calibrated.
hello anyone when i first bought my rmx i installed it on my pc and everything worked great then i had purchase a dell laptop and let my lil bro take my pc to his room and after installing the rmx on my new laptop just like the pc it was working great for the first couple of weeks at home and at gigs but then it gave me the headphone issue stated on the top of the forum but yesterday after pluggin the rmx to the pc to check if the console was the issue but everything worked great and the headphone issue was no longer an issue i decided to check the virtual dj confg. and all match the same on my laptop the only problem i can think about is that the last updated driver i had installed on the pc was the one before the last recent one and the last driver i installed on my laptop was the recent one maybe is the settings or confg. on my laptop which i doubt but i atleast know is not hardware i think but maybe the driver or firmware if anyone know how to resolve this issue or have any suggestion please share them with me it will be much appreciated thanks

I cannot duplicate your issue, but if you think it may be related to the driver version you have installed, you should install the older driver instead of the last version. When you run a DJ Console series driver installation,
1) it checks if another driver is installed and, and if it detects another DJ Console Series driver, it removes it.
2) After removing the old DJ Console series driver, you must run again the driver installation to install your other driver.
Please let me know if replacing the driver has an impact on your problem.
hey everyone i haven't tried it yet but im thinkin a powered usb hub could solve my problem with the headphones issue but has anyone with the same issue had tried it?
never try this option, C-Ruckuz (and never solve this problem at this time !). But why do you think that a powered hub could solve this problem ?
hey moustik reason why i think why that could be the problem cause the way the hercules is powered and maybe is not the problem but i tried everything else i tried everything else so im figure i will it it a shot cause it works fine with my desktop but not my laptop
well... really strange : I tried on 2 deskop and there is the same problem... but I haven't this bug on my Laptop !!!
After asking around me about this solution, it seems that you were right. I will buy this week-end a powered USB Hub, and try this solution. I will tell you if it's ok.
