hi all,
this query is about the hercules  rmx
im pretty sure i know the answer to this but cant seem to confirm it anywhere on the web and the manual doesnt mention it.
am i right in thinking that the mic input is the same as the input 1&2? and therefore it is impossible to use the line input on the back for that channel and the mic at the same time??

and also the same for outputs, the headphone socket is linked to one or other of the outputs and therefore it is not possible to have two outputs and the headphones at the same time?

You are correct about the Input 1-2. You need to select to use either the microphone or the phone/Line In from the control panel.

As for the headphone output, it will always receive the same signal as Output 3-4.

Quite a design flaw, no?
I can work round it with other equipment but I shouldn't really have to.
Is this the same with all the Hercules controllers?

The Rmx ( and a lot of other similar DJ audio interfaces) was designed as a 4 channel input / 4 channel Output audio interface, and this is exactly what you get. In the same way, standard audio mixers will give you certain channel on which you can use either microphones and Line Input, but never both at the same time.

More recent Hercules consoles allow the headphone to listen to either outputs.
