hello all,
new to the site. was using my 4mx last night and the fader suddenly stopped being accurate. it seems to be offset to the left for some reason. ive rebooted the computer and rechecked the board today, its still behaving the same. any ideas on how to recalibrate/fix this issue would be great!

If the firmware in your controller was modified, you should try reflashing the firmware.
If you are in Windows, you can create a shortcut
C:\Program Files\Hercules\Audio\DJ Console Series\firmware\HDJSeriesUpdater.exe -manual
run the shortcut and reflash the firmware.
PS: asking for technical help on a forum without describing in details your configuration (computer model, operating system, DJ Console driver version) is a waste of time, it is as if you called a tow truck without saying where your car is located. In your profile (MY SPACE > MY PROFILE), you have
- 1 field "Hercules Equipment In Use" where you should select Hercules DJ Console 4-Mx,
- 1 field "Describe Your Equipment" where you should type at least your computer type and model, CPU, RAM, and operating system, and if possible your Hercules driver version.

Win 7 64 bit Home Premium
Intel i3 2.13 Ghz
4 Gb RAM
I just updated the firmware on the 4-Mx and it brought it up to the latest firmware version. After the fader is still behaving in the same manner. I checked it with midi Monitor and the fader is at a value of 37 when it is halfway across and 60 only three quarters of the way across to the right. So this seems to be a hardware issue.

You didn't precise which fader you talk about.
If you mean the cross-fader, can you check if the cross-fader curve is set on Beatmix curve?
If the crossfader curve is set on Scratch curve, this result is normal.
If the crosfader curve is set on Beatmix curve, this result is not normal.
