hi there. ive had the 4mx little under a year now. until now ive always used the headphone jack just under the right platter which works fine. but because of the way its setup in my bar theres no space and i have to use the top right headphone jack now.

the top right headphone jack basically cuts out if the headphones quater jack inside moves/swivels left and right or around. ive tried a combination of different headphones, although i usually use hd25s and they work fine on the bottom headphone jack its just this top one. now they dont always cut out and sometimes it works fine as long as im not moving too much whilst im djing. i believe its simply a connection problem because if i press the headphones into the headphone jack and apply pressure lets say with my thumb whilst theyr in the headphone socket theres no problem and i can move the headphone connection all the way around whilst theyr connected and theres no cutting out.

the way ive kinda got around this is i duck tape the headphones over the 4mx so that theres a) sufficent pressure holding them into the headphone socket and b) so the connection doesnt move around whilst i dj. but this is lame cos i have to un-duck it after every set. cos the hd25s are also my listening headphones and other djs/friends have also started complaining about the problem cos they bring theyr own headphones...

like i said ive never used the top right headphone jack. it never occured to me to try it out since i only used the bottom one.. and ive already tried cleaning it with pressurised air from a can but no luck. it does work fine if i apply pressure.. so it does work. its just a darn connection problem..

any suggestions? is there a screw i can tighten? or should i send the 4mx back? i still have warranty.. thanks for the help.

Sounds like a hardware problem with the jack. Still you're still under warranty, you should try to get a replacement thorught your retailler, or worst case, contact Tech Support.
