hi, i have a hercules dj console (mk1) apparently new. the drivers are not installed. hid is not even between and during the driver installation i get the blue screen of windows software and therefore does not see hercules device. linux without drivers, i could use it as a sound card, so it works right?
i tried on windows 7 and windows xp(here not appear blue screen of death but hid driver is not installed)
do you have any advice?

first , lets check a few things:
- what do you mean by "apparently new" ?
- lets make sure its a pc version dj console. there was also a mac versions that obviously would not work under windows.
under the console (remove the propective cover), you should have a sticker saying "hercules dj console ..." and a ref number (505...)
if it says "hercules dj console mac edition", then youll know that it wont be possible to use it under windows.
- if it is indeed a pc version, are you trying to install it using the latest driver available on the support site (2.hdjs.2010) ?
"apparently new" in the sense that i bought on ebay by a person who could not test it because he has no mac.
when i connect the leds flash and then everything stops.
the console is mac-compatible but on a site they told me that the only difference is the le software in bundle!
can it work on windows? what is the difference between the two?
the difference between the 2 is that the pc version will only work on pc, and the same for the mac version. the internal hardware is different because of the different architecture of the operating system at the time.
all hercules dj products released after the original dj console (mp3, mk2, rmx, etc) will work on both platform.
