ive a problem to make my recently bought hercules dj control instinct work in virtual dj pro 7.0.4. i use a mac os x 10.9 (mavericks) on the latest macbook air (4gb ram). ive installed the latest drivers for my hercules dj control instinct. when i start up virtual dj pro my hercules dj control instinct does not work: when i move triggers or push buttons, nothing happens. on my previous pc (windows) the hercules dj control instinct connected directly in virtual dj, when i started it. in the config - sound setup the hercules dj control instinct is however recognized by the program. how do i make my hercules dj control instinct work in virtual dj?
The exact same thing happened to me. I have a mac, got the djcontroll instinct and tried using it on my virtual dj because that program is amazing. After i found that the program was not recognizing it, the best thing that I could find on the virtual dj forums is that the virtual dj program does not yet natively support the djcontrol instinct yet. (Im not sure if it ever will, but hopefully) The only thing that I could see possible is you remapping out your controls manually in the system prefrences of virtual dj, (which I do not have te patience, or knowledge to do myself.) Good luck. I just hope they update it to natively support it sometime.
To be honest, they natively support many other hercules controls, so I would be willing to bet that someday, they will fix this issue. Maybe.
Native controller support for the DJControl Instinct was included in Virtual DJ Pro Full with version 7.3. Any version previous to that will obviously not automatically recognize the console and you would need to create your own MIDI profile.
The simplest solution is to update your version of VDJ (currently v7.4.1).
