hi everyone im new here, and the deal is, i just got my brand new, dj control mp3 e2 and i got the cd installed everything, then i installed the drivers for it , and my computer is always asking to install the driver for it, and the control console appears with a red cross in it, and it does not detect my mp3 e2 , ive tried in my to computers and none of them , worked..
my system is windows vista 32bit (in both computers) then i tried in my dads laptop wich has windows xp and it worked..
my question is do the drivers work in vista 32bit? because im still not able to detect it...
thank you people
dj phatso, thanks but still i gives the same, ive tryed it 4 times one of them i restarted my computer in the processe... but still nothing i seriously dont understand...
its fixed, i had to do a system repair with the vista cd... if someone has the same problem, just insert vista cd and fix it.
thanks people for the help
The driver on the CD is VIsta compatible, but I would recommend you use the latest update (4.HDJS.2009) from the support site instead:
http://ts.hercules.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=17&fid=61&pid=241&cid=1
While you are at it, there is also an update for Virtual DJ (v1.05), available on their web site
http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
Registration using the serial number is required.
I also have a PC with 32 Bit Vista, and a MP3 E2
I did not Encounter any "installation" problems but only, with WDM interfaces, a background "rrrrrrr" noise when mooving the faders
For your installation issue
1) Ensure that you have administrator rights (by default one single user home computer)
2) systematically plug the console one the same Plug on your PC. If I'me right there was a known issue where the system asked to install the drivers once again if you changed from an USB port to another
The "rrrrrrr" noise problem has been fixed with the latest version of VDJ.
Thanks for the help, but still i couldn't get it to work, this is what shows up.
it finds the driver, but then it says i was not able to connect because e did not detect any hardware to have the connection, then i went to control panel and drivers, and it says than the mp3 e2 MIDI is ok, but the bulk driver has a problem thats the one that show up with a connection problem.
Try this:
- Manually uninstall (right-click > Uninstall) each components in Device Manager.
- Once done, Uninstall the deriver package,
- Then reinstall using the latest driver package as adminsitrator:

I am also having this exact problem. Can anybody confirm that the vista sytem repair is the ONLY way to fix this? Also - can I ask somebody to clarify exactly what is meant by a system repair?
Thank you in advance
Tom
Can you describe what is happenning to you ?
It may seems like exactly the same problem, but that may not be the case.
And as for a Windows repair, it shoud not be a standard procedure, unless your are having serious issues with your computer.
