Hello nenada,

It looks like a bug occuring in your sound card. What is your audio interface, and are you operating in ASIO or in WDM? If you are in WDM, can you try to convert them in ASIO, with ASIO4ALL if your sound card has no ASIO drivers, and let us know whether it changes anything or not.

If the problem happens with Virtual DJ you need to disable safe mode in Virtual DJ PRO performance config.

In case you version is the limited in the Hercules pack contact VirtualDJ service support, it's necessary a little modification in the windows registry http://www.virtualdj.com/contact/index.html

1) Did you use ASIO 4 All to set the USB sound board in ASIO?

2) You should give the name and specifications of the USB sound card. Is is a 5.1 sound card? Precising the details of a configuration, the conditions of a bug and the symptoms of the bug is the preliminary condition to receiving an efficient support.

3) There is no safe mode to disable in VirtualDJ DJC, the safe mode is specific to VirtualDj Pro, and in my opinion it should be called unsafe mode, sinceit is generally a bad setting.

I have a quite similar case with the MP3 E2 I just bought las Week End- thought initially it was a kind of interference between the e2 signals (through USB cable) and my (non shieded) speaker cables.

Is It a known issue with the Vista/W7 new sound layer?

I'll try it with asio4all (allready installed) tonight & post the result ASAP

NOTA: you talked about a regsitry modification=> Required with VDJ 3SE?

Nota2: My config
- Intel core 2 duo mem. 3Go / vista 32bits
- MP3 e2 /VDJ3 SE in default WDM mode
- Realtek integrated 5.1 sound chipset (WDM, no dedicated asio drivers)

Argh ! 'could not even get Asio4all working properly with VDJ! f*ck***g WDM soundcard!!!!!
when asio4all is used as the sound api by VDJ, my soundcard does not emmit any sound, and the asio driver seems not to recognize it as a 5.1 able soundcard

And the only answer I got from VDJ crew was to give them the S/N of my soft 🙁 (I have it, sure, but not at my office)

will try tonight if it solves my sound issue

The VDJ update seems to solve the Issue for me, but not for everybody

nopoles, in the french forum, says he still has the pb.

I'll test it with another soundcard (ie my muse LT 5.1 USB and my CMEDIA stero USB) to see if I reproduce it (by default, I use my motherboard-integrated realtek HD 5.1 WDM soundcard)
