i recently bought the dj control steel from amazon, and for a while everything went happy and cheerful.  i set it up with traktor pro, and got it working without many problems and it worked great (albiet took a bit to get used to the setup i downloaded).  and all of a sudden im unable to get it to work now.  when i plug in the controller it detects with my computer just fine, the control panel detects it and everything (i can use it with virtual dj without any issue still) but it doesnt light up or anything for traktor anymore (yes i close virtual dj before i open it).  ive tried reinstalling drivers, and re-importing the settings and whatnot but nothing has been having an effect, the midi icon in traktor doesnt light up at all so i know its not detecting any input at all.  i havent updated traktor since it had been working so im not completely sure what the problem is.  any help would be appreciated.

using traktor version 1.2.1

edit: well i got it to work now...after reinstalling the drivers a 3rd time, and then updating them it works.  ill post back again if it stops and reinstalling stops working.

if everything outside of traktor seems to work, then the problem is obviously there.

did you by any chance connect the steel to another usb port before the problem happened ?

if so, it would make sense that traktor would not be able to use it since it would not be assigned to the mapping anymore.

to be sure, go to controller manager > device and verify that the in-port and out-port are actually assigned to the steel. if you connect it to another usb port, you will need to reaassing that.
