hello,
i was offered an hercules djcontrol compact. from what i read in the manual, to be able to have different sound in the speakers and in the headphones i need an external multichannel sound card. since i know nothing about this, which one would you reccomend? which is the cheapest one?
thanks in advance
Hello,
Welcome on the forum.
The sound card to preview and play needs
- at least 2 independant stereo outputs, so it can be a 4.0, 4.1, 5.1 or 7.1 sound card,
- separate physical outputs, so you must avoid anything called virtual surround 5.1 or 7.1 (virtual surround means stereo virtualised to look like surround).
The sound card I suggest are:
- Sodial USB 5.1 sound cards, very cheap

Or Conrad USB sound card with 7.1 output

and once you have it, here is the sound settings for Djuced

Ordered. Thanks 🙂
Does anyone know if either of these work on the Mac?
Hello,
Yes, they work on Mac.
Is there a guild on how to set it up on the mac?
Hello,
Here is a guide to set Hercules Muse Pocket XL LT3 in Mac with Djuced, it works in the same way with another multichannel USB audio card.
