until today my mk2 had been working perfectly however when i went to plug it in all of the leds lit up and remained on. after having tried to reinstall the drivers everything went fine until the firmware update where it gave me the "unable to determine controller type for this dj console mk2" error.
after having followed all of the instructions in the linked pdf, trying to manualy update the firmware i was greeted with the following error: error updating controller part: 0x0000010b (fail during update process of psoc).
what is strange is that when i plug it into my housemates laptop the console is recognised instantly and seems to work fine.
any help would be much appreciated.
oh and im running the most recent version of windows 8 and hes not, if that makes any difference?
cheers
There is indeed a problem with the the default USB drivers installed by WIndows 8.1 which prevents certain devices (the DJ Console MK2 among them) to be enumerated and installed correctly.
A driver and Firmware update is currently being tested to correct the issue, but in the meantime, you can try disabling the xHCI feature for the USB ports (from the computer's BIOS), which was succesful for many users. As all computers are different, please consult the user manual for the exact references and pocedure to modify the BIOS.
