hey there!
i recently tried to connect my mp3 e2 controller to my macbook using the drivers in this link: http://ts.hercules.com/ger/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=17&fid=61&pid=241&cid=1
they seem to be the latest drivers available but every dj software i tried didnt react when moving faders etc.
but on the other hand, the controller lights up when e.g. a play button is pressed in the software itself.
controller also works on other windows laptops..
although i tried to find a solution, nobody seems to have the same problem. i hope that you can help me!
thanks!
Hi,
I tried the mp3 E2 on a Mountain Lion computer and didn't have midi issues.
What DJ Software are you using ?
I tried to use it with djay and mixxx.
Both support the mp3 e2 natively.. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Did you verify that it was installed correctly ?

Does it work as a MIDI controller, using the following procedure ?
http://ts.hercules.com/faqs/eng/her_eng_00392.pdf
Also, it seems an update for DJay was released (v4.0.6) in the last few days, so you may want to try that.
Tried to install the drivers again (following the instructions).
Controller shows up in systeminformations and audio/midi utility recognizes it.
When I press the "down arrow" my controller starts to blink, but when pressing a button on my mp3 e2, nothing lights up/ blinks in the audio/midi programme.
I also got the latest version of DJay.
Strange!
How about if you test with MIDI Monitor ?
Yeah, it says: "MIDI Monitor could not make a connection to its MIDI driver. To fix the problem, quit all MIDI applications (including this one) and launch them again.
For now, MIDI Monitor will not be able to spy on the output of other MIDI applications, but all other features will still work."
When getting this warning, simply press OK to make it disappear. This will not prevent you to test your controller in the main program window.
