im using traktor pro 1.2.4 and a pc with windows xp/sp3 and the problem im having is really annoying.
so, ive downloaded and installed the newest drivers from here: http://ts.hercules.com/download/pub/webupdate/djcseries/2010_hdjs_3.exe
ive downloaded the midi profiles from here: http://ts.hercules.com/download/sound/tdjs/current/tp_dj_rmx.zip and followed the procedure as described in the .pdf file.
my speakers are connected to output 1/2 on the back of the rmx and my headphones are connected to to the top or front headphone output.
so, ive set the audio mode in dj console control panel to asio, midi channel is set to 1, audio device in traktor is set to hercules dj console rmx asio, output monitor is set to output 3 & 4,output master is set to 1 & 2, mixing mode is set to internal.
my problem is the deck gain fader basicly does nothing, it increases/decreases volume by 5-6% max (maybe even less), and even when i set the gain fader to the lowest value, the deck is not muted as it should be, but you can hear the sound, a bit silenced than the master though.
any tips and/or help regarding this would be more than appreciated.
cheers,
dddt.
the gain knob in traktor has a range going from -12 db to +12 db, so it is not intended to completely cut the signal of the deck, but to fine tune the gain so that both decks have a similar level.
the deck volume fader controls the overall ouput level to the master mix.
great icon btw 😉
oh, im used to mixing with an external soundcard, a laptop and a mixer so this is all new to me.
