Hey!

You can chose any of the laptops as long as you have the PC minimum requirements: 1GHz CPU or higher / 512MB RAM MS Windows® XP / Vista / 7 (32/64-bit). My opinion is that both are very good options, but it is up to you as a design which one you want, cause both have the minimum requirements.

Cross DJ and Traktor Pro are good choices, but if you want to cut songs i would go with Cross DJ (i just did a little research about this software and it seems like a good software for what you need or want to do).

My opinion would be to go on both forums, Native Instruments for Traktor and MixVibes for the Cross DJ, and speak with their tech support or other users about what you want to do and see what feedback you get from them.

Good luck!

Actually, you want to check the minimum requirements for the softwares you want to use, otherwise you'll may find yourself with lots of problems on your hand.

Traktor:

Windows 7 (latest Service Pack, 32/64 Bit), 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended)

Cross DJ:

Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 , Intel Core 2 Duo / 2.2 GHz or equivalent, 2 GB RAM

As for gaming, DJ softwares requires lots of ressources from your computer, so once you know the minimum requirements, look for computers with specs way above. The more powerful the computer, the longer you will be able to use it before you have to change or upgrade.

Your two suggestions more or less meet the minimum requirements, so don't expect much headroom and optimal performances. Sure, you probably add more RAM, but for about the same price, you could probably get a more recent PC with a newer processor.
