im running windows 7 64-bit and when i hook up the usb to my laptop i get an error message saying "usb device not recognized" - "one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned windows does not recognize it, blah blah.."
ive downloaded the latest stuff and during installation when it prompts me to connect any hercules consoles, ill connect it but it wont recognize it still. i just keep getting these flashing lights.
ive right clicked computer > manage > device manager > tried updating the driver of the unknown usb and even browsing into the driver folder but windows tells me that the best driver has already been installed.
when i click on the device properties > general tab > it says under "device status" windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (code 43)
ive looked around google but have yet to find a solution, im running a little bit out of patience as im eager to use this, i have checked some of the forums here before creating a thread but still no dice.
anything else? 🙁

when you run dj console rmx driver installation, you must not take into account windows messages proposing to download the driver from a windows update at the moment you connect the rmx console, you must only take into consideration the message of the installer itself, otherwhise the windows update ruins the installation in replacing the dj console rmx driver by something else, and then you get the message usb device not recognized.
once you have completed the complete installation of the dj console rmx, and the rmx works, things change since each time you plug the rmx on a usb port where it was notconnected before, windows new hardware found message proposes to install the adequate driver for the rmx, since once the right driver is properly installed in windows, windows update system will keep this driver, but as long as the rmx driver has not been installed once in the operating system, you must not trust windows new hardware found messages.
