i have a hercules rmx console that im using with virtual dj le. even though my dell latitude d610 laptop has 4 working usb ports, the hercules mixer will only work on 1 of the usb ports. when i plug the mixer into any of the other ports, windows tell me that it found new harware and ask me for the installation disk. im running windows xp professional, servoce pack 3. anyone knows how to solve this?
This is perfectly normal for Windows XP.
If you want to install you console on other USB ports, you will need to manually point the Windows installer to the folder where the drivers are located:
C:\Program Files\Hercules\Audio\DJ Console Series\Drivers
It will be necessary to do this for all 4 components of the console.
