i have been using for several weeks hercules rmx with traktor pro but had some problems in the tsi found in the official hercules suport page . i couldnt controll the effects (couldnt change them , the parameters etc. ) so i thought doing my own tsi which i hope will help all the rmx+traktor pro users...these are some of the changes
1. the filter can be adjusted by holding secondary function button (scratch ) and changing "balance" parameters.
2. you can activate the filter by scratch+ tremble kill or deactivate.whan the filter is activated source button lights
3. effects can be activated by holding scratch+1 or 2 or 3... and can be changed scratch+ 4 or 5 or 6 .4 corresponds to1. 5 to 2 and 6 to 3
4.the previous , next button do a 32 beat jump forward or back
5there are some other changes which you ll learn by using this tsi

that is correct but what im talking about is if your between 1 &2 cue points & say you want to instantly jump to cue 4. can this be done on the controller or do you have to use the hot cues on the computer keypad to jump around. thanks for the info on how to delete the cue, i needed that also.
it is not possible with the current midi mapping . i had thought of that too when i did the tsi but it needed to delete some other functions in order to make what you mentioned possible . do you really need the cue point jump function that you described ? if so i can make an other tsi .
no need to make another tsi, i just changed the 1-8 & q-i on the keyboard to run all the hot cues. i was wondering if your map will control 4 decks though? i noticed theres a 4 deck map in another post but i am really getting used to this one & didnt want to have to re-learn anything.
hey, ive just tried using this map and i cant seem to control the parameters for each effect. all i can seem to do is change the dry/wet function and turn each effect on. am i missing something? would it possible at all to provide a diagram of all the functions within your map?

it may depend on the software and on the type of midi command the controller sends
- i dont think there is a problem to set the modifier on toggle rather than hold with dj console rmx transport buttons in traktor pro,
- but for example in ableton live 8, the midi learning mode is different and i didnt find a way to use a transport button with modifier command in toggle mode (because the rmx transport buttons send 1 control change midi command when pushed down / 1 control change midi command when released, releasing the button changed the command), so the solution for ableton live modifier command was to use hercules dj console rmx midi mapper (here), and replace on rmx the button we wanted to use as toggle into a note on/note off midi command. be careful, as long as you dont restore the former midi command, the midi command sent by this button is changed for all software.
thanks for the quick reply... im using traktor pro and there are 5 options available but none of the is toggle. im using the scratch button as a modifier but i use it quite often so it would be better if it stayed on as long as i want. the options displaying in traktor for the button are: hold, direct, increase, decrease and reset. 🙂

direct button changed the value just to a single number (eg 1) and it stayed that way. so i duplicated the modifier and i set the direct to 0 when the modifier is already 1. it works like a charm 🙂
one more thing, are the rmx buttons durable or should i be carefull? honestly... 🙂

rmx transport buttons are durable.
the controls with the shortest live time are the faders if they are pushed vertically (they have a good life cycle for horizontal use): the solution is to avoid storing anything over the rmx in a shelve or in your car trunk (when you place the laptop over the rmx for 5 minutes, it is ok, but if you store it that way every day, the faders will be worn out not because of their use but because of their storage conditions). as rmx transport bag is not rigid, dont consider the transport bag as sufficient to store anything over the rmx even in its transport bag.
holding the scratchbutton and trying to change the effects parameters (by using the bass, mids and treble) just dont seem to work. does it work with you guys?

There are a few things that just don't work right with the Traktor software and the RMX. I'm sponsored by Traktor now and I've been in their Hollywood office with their tech ppl trying to figure it out. They even sent the my issues to the Traktor German office and finally came back and said it just doesn't work 🙁 . Anyways today they invited me to a focus group for the new S4 (??); their new controller. Very interesting.

- some incompatibility which are preveting some functions to work properly ?

I haven't found incompatibility problems so far by using Hercules RMX + Traktor Pro so I don't know what you re talking about

Thanks Chris... I purchased the RMX with Traktor Pro last week. I also imported the tsi file from the Hercules support page but found it a bit disappointing.
I will import your file tomorrow & have a mess around. If you could you list any other changes you made in this tsi file it would be greatly appreciated.

The other functions which you may use are these :
1. BY holding scratch + next previous buttons you can switch both effect units on or off .
2.(I think this function is one of the most needed) by holding scratch + changing bass or mid or treble parameters you can change effects parameters. in each deck the firs effect corresponds to treble , the second to mid and the third to bass ... When scratch button is released the equalizer wont change.
3 .In each deck button 1 decreases loop length button 2 activates it and button 3 increases it
4. Button 4 is the previous cue loop function button 5 is cue set + store and button 6 is the next cue loop
5. The sync button lights on every beat not in the midle of them.
Forgot to mention that with this tsi you can work with both effect units of each deck
Think with this mapping you can controll pretty much all the functions of Traktor Pro only with Hercules Rmx.

If I may make a few suggestions:
- You may want to enable Soft Takeover for your EQ and FX control assignement. This will prevent radical jump when going back to the previous state and moving the physical contols (which would sound terrible if your bass was at minimum and then go straight to max).
- Independant filter controls for each decks might be preferable to one for both. You could use the GAIN knobs for example...
I firstly used the filters as you suggested but sometimes it was too risky because of the imediate gain increase or decrease The idea about the soft takeover is really good and I m thinking of doing the two midifications which you suggested .Both filter and effects have takeover .gain of each deck is the coresponding filter function... you can change the gain scratch + gain

I was also disappointed with the original mapping, so much so I went out and both a X1 and use that for effects and looping now.

This TSI works pretty well however how do you move within a track, with the jog wheels, while it is playing instead of the jog wheels just changing the pitch? I can move within the track with the jog wheels but the track has to be paused.
You can move within the track ( Scratch mode ) by holding stop button and rotating the jog wheel . When you release the stop button scratch deactivates track keeps playing and jog wheels have the previous function (they change the pitch)
Also is it possible to "juggle" preset cue point with this set-up? I can only get the 6 button to go back to the most recently played cue point while the track's playing.

hey dj chris iam really stuck i have ur tsi file and all the buttons work great but when i use the treble and mid on the left hand of the deck it works the pitch on the right hand side instead and its reli bothering any ideas as to fix it and the treble is making the left pitch control go up and down please help:(the right side works perfect tho.pleeaaaasse help
