Hello Terry,

You must
1) open the control panel of your DJ Console Rmx prior to running your DJ software.
2) Set the Rmx in ASIO in the control panel.
3) And then run your DJ software.

Also precise what is your DJ software (name and version).

You are better off using the default configuration in Virtual DJ:

- Input : Line-Ins

- Output(s): Headphone

-Soundcard: DJ Console Rmx

VDJ will automatically switch to ASIO mode (because inputs have been enabled).

Again, for the menu Soundcard, select DJ Console Rmx (with the image of the console) and NOT ASIO > DJ Console Rmx ASIO.

In theory, it should be the same thing, but often times, VDJ has issues with selecting ASIO.

Also, in the Advanced tab (Advanzo), be sure to select USB Streaming 1-2 (Defecto).

Try this:

- Close VDJ

- In the DJ Control Panel, make the audio mode is set to WDM

- Unplug and replug the console to the USB port

- Make sure the audio mode is still set to WDM, then launch VDJ

1) Normally, VDJ should automatically switch from WDM to ASIO. Does this work ?

2) If it does change to ASIO, does VDJ still give you the error ?

3) If yo click APPLY, does the message appear again ?

1) Download the following software:

http://www.tropicalcoder.com/ASIOTestSigGen.htm

2) before launching the application,be sure that:

- the DJ Console is set to ASIO in the Control panel

- VDJ or other applications susceptible of using the ASIO driver are closed.

3) Upon launching ASIOSinGen, configure as follow:

- Select ASIO driver:

Obviously choose the Console ASIO driver

- Select Device Output:

I would choose the headphone output (Output 3/4) since you can easily control the volume (be sure to  to lower the volume before proceeding with the test).

Once this is done, click any of the wave or noise button which will send a short signal in the headphone. If you can hear the signal, then the ASIO driver is working correctly.

IF however you get an error message, then there may be a problem with the ASIO driver.

4) Switch to WDM in the control panel. Launch ASIOSinGen again.

You should normally get the following window message:

Can't interface with an ASIO driver - Exiting!

Change the audio mode to ASIO and launch ASIOSinGen again. If you are able to launch the applications normally, then we know the control panel and the ASIO driver are working correctly and that the problem is most probably related to the VDJ installation.
