whenever i use the crossfader on the rmx the crossfader on the screen (vdj) does not match with what iam doing physically. as a matter of fact if i move the fader too slow from left to right the fader on the screen bounces back and forth like crazy.  not only that, the sound is staticky.
how do i handle this issue?

i am using a mac if that makes a difference. this happened all of a sudden after not using it for a week and then doing a vdj upgrade.

do you notice similar sluggish reaction if you test it outside of vdj , as described in this procedure:

i also tried to do it on my laptop and the same problem, so obviously it is a fade problem & from what i hear there is no replacing it.

what is the deal, do they replace, exchange or repair after wning it for about 9 months? maybe ill give a call because they longer i wait the worse it is for the return because they are slow as i learned from my previous experience.

there is no test button or anything and there is no actual test.

If you are using Snow Leopard, you have to go to Audio MIDI Setup > Window > Show MIDI Window to access to the test page. I guess the procedure has to be modified to reflect that, but this is why the link to MIDI Monitor is also included.

I called Hercules and they said the best test I could have done was to try it on my mac and my laptop which is a pc and since it is doing the same thing I need to send it in for an exchange.

I must say, even though this is my second return within a year I love the fact that I am covered for 2 years. That's standing behind your product bigtime.
