macbook doesnt work with rmx anymore...

hey! so after ~3 years of using my faithful rmx controller, it finally stopped working with my macbook. ive tried booting up with bootcamp and running it on the pc side, but to no avail. i hooked up the controller to my girlfriends 2015 13" macbook and it worked just fine, so im at a loss. ive seen people say something about a powered usb thing, so i connected it to my apple cinema display (which is powered), and that still doesnt work. any tips? ive got a halloween gig im supposed to be djing for tomorrow so its kind of awful timing.
