macbook wont recognize deejay trim

--i just recieved my deejay trim in the mail.
--the software cd with the drivers would not install since i am running lion 10.7.3.
--so i download the drivers from the hercules website and installed them.
--after installation is complete and "successful" the deejay trim device doesnt show up in in system information or under the audio/midi setup.
--instead in system information a "vendor-specific device" is shown and just the standard built in inputs and outputs in audio/midi setup.

its as if the deejay trim isnt conpatible with something or i have the wrong drivers; but i have read to download and install these drivers at over a dozen fourums.

please help?!?!
