hello everybody, i have an issue very similar to other discussion already open in this forum. even without using vdj8, just plug in the rmx2 console and push the "mic on/off" button and i immediately hear a very strong "shhh" noise. if i plug the mic in and turn it on the volume is way too high. ion fact, i cant even use it because it immediately goes into a very strong larsen effect. i have tried konig mic, xlr cable, standard 1/4 cable, another akg mic (both mics are working perfectly elsewhere), but no change. i am using mac yosemite, latest drivers and firmware thank you
Hello,
1) It is normal, logical, standard to get a "Shh" noise when switching on the microphone with no microphone connected: that is precisely the reason there is a microphone on/off button:
- No microphone connected: set microphone Off on the Rmx2
- Microphone connected: set microphone On on the Rmx2.
You must switch off the microphone button On/Off before plugging or unplugging a microphone.
2) If you don't complete the profile here, as mentionned in the other discussion on microphone, you will get limited answers since you ask to forum readers to read all your messages you have posted to extract the technical information which is needed to answer to your question.
To complete your profile here:
- In Hercules equipment in use: check DJConsole Rmx2 in the list,
- In Software in use: check your DJ software, for example VirtualDJ,
- In dDescribe your equipment: precise your computer brand and model, CPU, RAM, operating system (for example Mac OS 10.10.1 64-bit), and driver version (answering "latest driver" means "unknown driver version": driver packages have a version number).
3) As you mention you meet a specific issue with a microphone, please precise the complete information on your microphones: not just the brand, but the model.
