im currently using windows 8.1 and when i plug my dj console mk4, nothing seems to happen. no lights, no everything. the pc reads it as unknown device. my mk2 seems to work pretty well.

i haven't used the this console in this computer before. this will be the first time i will be using it. Previously, I was using an MK2 with this computer, and it works very well.
What is your computer maker/model?
We've recently seen a few issues with the default USB 3.0 drivers installed by Windows 8.1, which prevents some console to be enumerated properly. On some occasion, installing the manufactuer's driver instead can solve the problem.
As I've never encountered any issues with AMD chipset before, we have to determine if there is such driver for your computer.
