im having trouble mapping my controller the hercules rmx to toggle and control the new 4 deck software by virtual dj. if someone could help that would be great. thx
ok ive got the answer in case anybody else has this same issue. in virtual dj pro 7 go into mapper select the hercules controller and select "source" you can remap any button you want. after selecting "source" enter in the action learn box:
device_side left ? deck 1 leftdeck ? deck 3 select & deck 3 leftdeck : deck 1 select & deck 1 leftdeck : device_side right ? deck 2 rightdeck ? deck 4 select & deck 4 rightdeck : deck 2 select & deck 2 rightdeck
make sure you have your deck assignment on left & right. this will finish the command
also if you want to map some effects in:
button 1: effect select +1
button 2: effect active

I have tried multiple times to use the mapping that is listed here for 4 deck control. I cannot get it to work. I can't get the coding one the virtual dj site to work either. I have copy and pasted, I have typed, it in and it just work work. What am i missing, any other ideas?
Well, let's make a few things clear first:
- Are you using the latest version of VDJ (v7.4.1)?
- Are you refering to the following coding?

- Did you select a 4- Deck Skin?
Yes, that as well as any that could be downloaded from the vdj site, yes I bhave as well selected a 4 deck skin.
What I would suggest:
a) I would revert back the Rmx mapping to its default configuration (click the little CD icon at the bottom left of the MAPPER page).
b) Verify that the audio configuration is correct:
- Input : None
- Output(s): Headphone
- Soundcard: DJ Console Rmx
c) Download the following file:
ftp://ftp.hercules.com/mirror/TEMP/Hercules_DJConsole_RMX_mapping.zip
Unzip it, and copy the resulting .Xml file in
Documents > VirtualDJ > Mappers
Now open VDJ. This file should replace the default Rmx mapping and allow you to use the Source buttons to switch between decks 1&3 and 2&4 when using a 4 Deck skin.
