so im not sure what my problem actually is. (i have the macbook os x)
i installed the drivers off of the cd that came with the rmx. and i also installed vdj
the first error i got was the sound card error. so i download the other drivers off the hercules website.
then and now still the comp can not recognize that the rmx is plugged in, and just keeps flashing!
what do i need to do now?

lots of people had this problem, but it looks like no solution is given for mac.
i managed to fix mine with pc and with a random procedure, the guys at the tech support have no idea of what theyre doing.
suggestion: borrow a pc, then follow these instructions.
1. unplug the console
2. close the firmware updater (if open)
3. plug again the console keeping mic on/off pushed
4. windows will ask for installing new hardware
5. follow expert mode for installation, not automatic.
6. say that you will browse devices manually, and push provide disk drive (or something like that)
7. locate the rmxbulk.inf file (the name is not exactly like this, but something close) and select it. at this point the drivers should be installed in windows.
8. follow this for reflashing the firmware

this worked for me until the last point of the guide at point 8, where the device still was not recognized automatically by windows.
however, after restarting on osx with the device plugged in since i turned the system on, everything went fine.

hey, i had this problem too on my mac, could not get it to work at all... i did some research and posted here and some other boards... basically the software for the rmx on the cd is junk, dont even install it, what i would do is remove everything and delete it... then go to the technical support for hercules site, d/l the drivers and updates there, install them, you can install your vdj software only after.... then plug it in... its normal for it to flash 5 times or so (like a big messed up circle of lights) and then run vdj and it should work, but you gotta get the software for the rmx off the hercules site... thats what i did.

installed this software for my rmx:

installed traktor pro
d/l the tki for it
opened traktor and followed the steps in the traktor stuff i d/l and it worked perfect
all you need for software to get it working on mac is the link above... thats all i used, i dont use vdj though, so you would have to install just that off the cd after.
