just purchased a pair of behringer b212d powered speakers. i know they are good speakers for my requirements as i got a demo in a shop and they are just the sound i need for my small party room in my cellar.
so i plugged them in tonight all excited and the sound is terrible. heres my set up and the problems:
i have them from the rca output 1&2 on the hercules rmx to a 1/4" jack input on the first speaker - 3 metre long cable.
theres hardly any bass/low end from the woofer. the punchy mid range which i heard in the shop is non existent and the high end is so loud and tinny its uncomfortable.
to make the sound even remotely listenable i have to have all the knobs turned to extremes on the console and on the back of the speakers which make mixing with the knobs virtually impossible.
sometimes when i mix a second track in theres no low end at all.
all in all the sound is terrible.
what can i do to get the sound like it was in the shop? is this a software issue?
