i am on my second rmx2 in less than a year. reason being...both had same issues. worked for a few months then i go to turn it on one day and nothing. no power. i exchanged the first one for a brand new one that did exactly the same thing. i even tried a new power adapter on the second one and still nothing. i am using a sony vaio i7 laptop with 16gb memory, nvidia graphics and windows 7. i have everything powered by a power strip that is said to withstand lighting strikes. so im pretty sure all that is good. when it has worked, it works great, and i love the dj juiced software. but without power its not so great. has anyone experienced this problem before? help 🙂

This is definitely not something normal.

Were the exchanges done through your retailler or Technical Support?

Was it possible for you to verify if the power supply was still functional (using a multimeter)?

Were there any similar circumstances when both Rmx2 stopped working?

Are you using any external devices (CDJs, turntables)?

Thanks for getting back to me.

The exchange was done at my local sam ash music store.

I did not check the power supplies with a meter but, the first time it happened i brought it back to sam ash. They looked at it, and tried a different adapter in store than what came with it before the exchange was done. With the second one i went out and purchased a new adapter myself, made sure everything matched up and tried it...nothing. Between the 2 different consoles, 4 different adapters were tried after they stopped turning on and never went on, so i do not think it is an adapter issue. I am bringing this one back to sam ash and going through the process again, but before i did i figured i would try these forums.

As far as i can tell nothing out of the ordinary happened when they stopped working..ex - power surges, lightning storms, etc.  It happened fast, as in, I used it at night then went to turn it on the next day and wouldnt go on. This is mainly a hobby for me so the consoles sit on my desk in my apartment. I only turn on when i am using, shut it off when im not.  I have never transported them or moved them around in any way.

Other than my laptop, they are connected to a set of bose 2.1 speakers, where the sub has a built in amp, and everything is run through my laptop. when everything works, it works great, no bugs to report everything is always recognized, set up always goes smooth. and it runs great and does exactly what its suppose to. no background noises or anything..this is a real head scratcher. I am 38 and have been a "bedroom" dj since my early 20's, i am mainly just a hobbiest now, so i am familiar with equipment, but i have never experienced anything like this, where equipment just stops working twice in a row.

Thanks again for your input,
 FrankG

Strange case indeed.

I know for the US, the normal exchange channel is through the retailler, but I'm wondering if there could be a way for me to get my hands on your unit so we can maybe firgure out what happenned.

Let me talk to the Tech Support people and see what could be done before your bring it back.

Thanks. I will wait for your reply.

P.S. I dont know what sam ash does with the units that are exchanged. Do they send them back? If they send them back does it let you know where it came from and what the problem is?...if so, it purchased at the Sam Ash in Huntington, NY. If they do send them back, the first one that stopped working should be back to you guys by now since it was exchanged about 3 to 4 months ago, originally purchased at the end of August 2013. figured that was worth a shot. if not then let me know.

Check the My Space (top menu) section for my friend request. I'll need your email adress so Tech Support can contact you and arrange an exchange.
