hey there, i having some issues with my rmx.
ive been using for several years with zero problems.
just yesterday i am noticing a tinny popping sound at kick peaks coming from my headphones.
ive tried updated my drivers, and usiing both headphone ports. running traktor pro 2, ive checked my headphones on other devices and the are fine.
i will try with vdj to see if it is the software, but i dont think so.
could i have shorted my rmx by unplugging cables or something like that?
thanks!

I too am suffering from the same issue but with a MK4 and Vitual DJ Full, and have also updated drivers. I get quality sound from my speakers but when I put my headphones on that are plugged into the MK4 I get popping and scratchy sound (over the music thats playing). Its not my headphones and its not a faulty MK4 beacuse sometimes it does come throught the headphones clean (like my speakers).
PLEASE HELP
Hello La Jolla,
Can you confirm you
1) connect both your speakers and your headphones to the Mk4,
2) disable the wifi from your computer?
Hello Aurynchild,
The most likely explanation is a change in the environement (hardware, software setting, driver).
You may have damaged the plug on the Rmx in plugging or unplugging, but it is not very likely as you have 2 plugs.
If you have a laptop, please try the following tests
- test using the laptop on batteries, to make sure the sound is not due to your power supply,
- test with another USB cable, and connecting on another USB port,
- if you are on a MacBook, test in connecting a powered USB hub between the Rmx and the MacBook port,
and let us know if you hear any dfference.
