Would you have the possibility to test the DJ AIR on another computer , to rule out a potentially defective unit?

Otherwise, regarding your computer:

- I would guess that being a recent computer, it probably has all USB 3.0 ports. Did you check Acer's support site for potential updates to the USB controller ?

The same would apply for Windows Update.

- Have you tried all USB ports, and/or tried a powered USB hub ?

- You mentionned having used other controllers before. Would you happen to have drivers for these still installed that could be conflicting with the DJ AIR ?

Checked with another cpu and works great, my usb ports are usb2 have downloaded new drivers for everything , I still use my M-audio connective so cant take them off and i still use my Allen and heath 4d so cant possibly remove these ..... When i install the drivers for air I cant verify that the controller is working because when i go into device manager it will only let me assign the air + bulk driver , nothing else shows to assign drivers too .. The soundcard isn't showing up , am starting to get quite frustrated ........... I think it has something to do with my usb ports but cant work out what , have tried upgrading drivers for them and have upgraded firmware for controller , what else is there to do ? I really want to use the sound card and the unit as midi controller for Torq2 but looks like i'm beat ......cant work this out so please help ........ Fogot to metion , have tried all ports and have just ordered a powered USB hub . Have used Behringer bcd2000 and m-audio xponent and both worked fine (these drivers have been removed) , only got rid of the xponent to part ex so i could afford A & H 4d with Technics sldz 1200's ( still love to be hands on dj hence need to keep these drivers ), got the Air because i wanted something easy to sit and go through tunes/ put sets together and something light i could do house partys with when space was restricted + sound card on my lappy is naff but wow man its got me frustrated lol
p.s thanks for such a quick reply .

Ok , so have done some more digging and researching and found the link below to be quite useful  , If your devices power consumption adds up to more than 500mA then you need a powered usb hub and guess what .......the Air controller consumes 500mA on its own   ... The link below explains how to find out how much your devices consume so thought it may be helpful for any future enquiries you get . Once again thank you for the very rapid reply yesterday . I will repost here once I've got my powered hub and had another crack at the setup to let you know if the problem is resolved :0)~~

In Device Manager, are there any components displaying a yellow ! next to them ?

If so, what are they named?

Also try this the following:

Connect the USB while holding the Folder and Files buttons, and keep them pushed until the Firmware updater window opens (or at least it should).

If it does, then follow the onscreen instructions to proceed.
