when using my rmx in vdj 5 (also does the same in traktor pro), when loading a song to a deck, the pitch fader often needs to be moved to its minimum setting and back up again before it will register and change the pitch of the track.
this is annoying, is there any way to stop it?
this forums pathetic. 2 questions, not a single reply for either of them.
im guessing im the only person ever to suffer this problem? i think not.
ill go ask on the vdj forum.
dj_hampo,
as always, to get a clear answer, you should ask a clear question, which means detail your configuration, and the circumstances of the issue you meet.
what are
- your operating system? mac or pc / windows vista, windows xp, mac os 10.5, mac os 10.4?
- your computer cpu & ram setting? have you disabled all the cpu wasting tasks as the wifi, the internet connection, the antivirus, the firewall?
- your version of virtualdj pro? is it 5.2.1 or an earlier version? your version of dj console rmx driver?
- your pitch setting? is it pitch reset on load or not?
does your issue occur when you are in beatlock or not? what is your disengage beatlock setting? is it "disengage beatlock on load"?
does your issue occur when the previous track was mixed in autosync setting?
does your issue occur whatever the pitch scale?
expecting answers to a technical question while you give not enough technical information on your configuration is unrealistic.
- your profile was viewed 10 times at this moment, so several users read your question, looked for your technical configuration in your profile (probably to post an answer), and didnt post any answer, possibly because neither your profile nor your message included the necessary technical information.
=> posting a second message to call the forum pathetic instead of completing your message with the technical information is not the most efficient way in my opinion, so good luck on vdj forum.
to be fair, take a look around the forum, how many replies does the average post get, 1, 2,3 ?
to me, that gives me the right to say this forum is pathetic, and being new to using vdj and not knowing what half of it means, im not going to say "oh and by the way my pitch reset is set to this, my beatlock is set to that" cuz i probably havent touched it from its default setting, virtual dj is annoying and i cant wait to get this thing migrated into some decent software such as traktor pro...
so i enquire on this very forum how to get the rmx to behave in tracktor the way it does in vdj because the midi maps from hercules are basic and i have no clue where to start creating my own,
low and behold...2 weeks later, 40 views, 0 replies. i refuse to believe my operating system or my beatlock settings have any effect on that question, but still, no replies. even though its hard to believe no-one uses this thing on traktor.
quit living in your little world of denial and just face it, this forum has about 4 active users who have anything worthwhile to say and isnt worth the bandwidth its taking up half of the time.
im happy to say ive had greater help over the past few hours on the respective traktor and vdj forums than ive had on here over the last month, and for this reason bid you a very bitter farewell.
i wouldnt bother replying to this as i wont be back, unless of course you want to look the big man and have the last word. but hey, thats up to you.
hello maxdjack,
indeed, in virtualdj pro, settings as
- pitch reset on load
- disengage beatlock on load
- autosync
have an impact on the pitch fader setting when you load a new track.
these settings are listed in virtualdj pro manual on page 37.

knowing the user computer configuration would have helped to identify if a computer setting may consume too much cpu or memory ressources (as a wifi activated in the background) and cause low performance and delay in updating a pitch setting.
i see this user needs no forum, so i detail your answer for other users who read forums.
