hello. i am very new to this. i just got a djcontrol instinct controller, and i have succesfuly installed all of its drivers and installation programs on my 15inch macbook pro, which is running,
10.9.1
2.6ghz intel core i7
8gb 1600 mhz ddr3 of memory
i obviuosly installed the program djuced 18 that came with the conrtoller, and i have been liking it quite a bit. however, the issue i have found is whenever i have the controller connected to the laptop, the recording button on the top of the screen doesn nothing... i click it and nothing happens. however, if i start djuced 18 without my connected controller, it runs in "demo mode" and then the recording button works fine. i click the recording button, and its animation looks as if it is a button that has been pushed down, and when i click it again, it asks me if i want to save the recording, like it should be. none of this happens when the controller is actually connected and so this is kinda defeating the purpose of having a controller, no? anyway, hoping to get some help with this. thank you.
It this with the latest version (v1.0.91) of DJUCED 18?
If not, can you update it (from the ABOUT tab of the configuration menu) and see if the problem is still present?
Ohhh dear. I see a problem. My current version is v1.0.90, so not the most updated version... but when I click update now, it says no new updates available... 
Just "manually" get it from the Download section:
It this with the latest version (v1.0.91) of DJUCED 18?

actually, looking into the DJUCED website, it says the most up to date version of DJUCED for MAC is what I have. So I have a dilemma... :/

Which skin resolution is being used on your computer? Can you try another to see if the problem is also present ?
Did you change the path under RECORDING ?
I changed skins a few times. That didn't do anything. Under path, I haven't touched it at all.

I appriciate you going to all this bother to help a begining mixer out. But I think Im just gonna have to wait until the newest version of DJUCED comes out for mac. :/
Might be a good idea to post your issue on their forum so the developper are aware of it. Maybe they'll have some ideas of what could be at cause.
So, it randomly fixed itself. Recording works fine now. Huh. Thanks for all the useful help and information DJPHATSO. I think I found you on youtube and your shit rocks man.
