im currently looking at the hercules dj trim 4|6 interface for recording my djsets to my computer (ableton/fl studio)

can anyone confirm that with this interface i can record the rca (line-level) inputs and the microphone inputs to my computer?

yes, this will work.
as for using the inputs, keep in mind that input 1/2 is shared between the microphone and the line in, you can either use one or the other.
if you need both at once, you can have the mic on input 1/2, and line in on input 3/4.
