hi,
im not sure if this is a hardware issue or what..
i dont have any dj software opened like virtualdj or traktor, im just playing music from soundcloud or youtube directly usb streaming to my hercules rmx 1. and then to rca output 1-2 i have connected the main unit of my cambridge soundworks dtt2200 speaker system.
then in the middle of songs, i have this crazy volume spikes!, it suddenly goes low volume, then very high.. is there anyway i can test if this is a hardware problem in the rmx console?
thanks.. best regards.
You can try to use the MIDI monitor. You can find this info on the http://ts.hercules.com. You will have to select DJ/Music after Controller with audio, DJ Console Rmx and in the last window you need to click on Manual/Help file and there you have for PC and Mac: How can i verify that the DJ Console Rmx is working correctly as a MIDI controller?
The correct values should be between 0 and 127, if not in that range then you got a problem with the volume fader. If the device is still under warranty you can get a new volume mechanism for free, if not you can pay for it, but the bad part of this is that you need to know how to use a soldering gun.
So...good luck
