i have vdj 8 and 7 on my pic. i cant get the rmx2 sound card to come up on vdj7 but it does show on vdj8

If you Rmx2 is correctly installled and enumerated by your computer, and can be used correctly by VDJ 8, then it should normally be the same for VDJ 7.
Is this the latest version of VDJ 7 (v7.4.6 to be exact)?
Can you detaill how you are trying to configure it ?
Is it seen as a controller ?
