i am new to all of this. just got myself a shinny new rmx, and got the thing all set up. however, when i plug in a 1/8" to 1/4" headphone adapter to the board, all i get in my right ear is electronic feedback. when i turn off all the leds on the controller the noise dampens...almost like i am getting feedback from inside the controller. i have no idea how to remidy this problem, is it an issue of the adapter i am using? i have tried several, and several sets of headphones. am i overlooking something really stupid? any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

two questions,
did u use a laptop or pc and the second did u use a usb hub?
normaly it makes some noise when you connect the rmx on your pc/lap but thats all..

I have used both a mac laptop, and a PC desktop. Neither uses a hub. Both have the same issue. I have also tried it without the laptop being plugged into the wall (something about ground loop whatever)...but that was not my problem. I suspect it is something to do with the headphone adapter I am using, as both the front and top plugs have issues. I am taking it back to the store where I got it to try and resolve the issue.

It sounds like to me that you have a faulty unit mate.

Yup, took it back to the shop they agreed you about it being faulty. Got myself a new unit without the horrid feedback. Could not be more pleased with it now.
