sinds yesterday i have the rmx ( 1 not 2). i still have the version traktor pro 1.2.3
i installed the latest drivers and the latest mapping from the site of hercules.
all the controles work like they should ( i mean if i move them on the rmx they move on traktor)
the only connection that i made is the rmx to my laptop, because i still dont have speakers or monitors.
so what i want is to hear sound out of my laptop when the song is playing.
is there some kind of configuration that is different from when you use speakers, if yes how to find it and change it.
i appreciate the help!!!
Edit: If I set Traktor Audio device as "Realtek High difinition audio" then i get sound out of my laptop. But then i guess this isn't the point, i normaly must set "audio device Hercules DJ console RMX ASIO" so what should i do?
Connect a headphone set to the RMX then you will have sound.
The RMX will not play the sound on your laptop speakers.
Okay if your laptop has a line in, then you could connect the line out of the RMX to the line in of the laptop, only then you would hear the sound from the RMX on your laptop.
Most laptops don't have a line in, if you have a docking station for your laptop then you might have a line in.
If you want to enjoy the sound, untill you get your speakers, just connect the headphone to the RMX.
Ok thanks man, i hear sound from my headphone indeed
And if you have for example logitech speakers (2 + woofer).
Then normally you connect them to your laptop don't you?
But how can you connect the speakers then with RMX
The speakers you can connect them to the RMX output using RCA connectors.
Otherwise you can connect the RMX to your PA using the 1/4 jack.
See here ftp://ftp.hercules.com/sound/manuals/Rmx/01_DJ%20Console%20Rmx_eng.pdf the RMX manual on page 8 Connecting speakers and/or an external mixer to your DJ Console Rmx
Ok thank you man!
I will go and buy speakers tomorrow and is it this cable i need --> http://www.bax-shop.nl/jack-rca/hq-3.5mm-stereo-female-naar-2x-rca-male-verloopkabel/product-details.html#.UKVwuWchN4E
Then when everything is installed i hope i can prelisten
That depends on the speakers you connect to it. If the speakers connect with the tiny jack 3.5mm, then indeed you need this cable.
Coincidence, this is my favorite shop where I have purchased most of my stuff.
